Marte & Bryan: An inside look at an intimate "micro" wedding

Once upon a time in a small town in SE Iowa a new girl came to town. She wasn’t like any of the other girls and this caught the boys and girls attention. (None were able to catch her attention as much as one lad would later in time :) She caused quite the stir for Washington Elementary School’s fifth grade class, and I quickly wanted to be friends with this new beauty, Marte McNerney.

I met Marte at the ripe age of 11 when she was the new girl who moved to town. So many memories and moments have been shared with this gem of a woman throughout the years. From elementary school and middle school sleepovers to capturing her intimate wedding last month, our friendship has covered some ground.

I can’t describe the ease of a small wedding….One venue for the ceremony and reception. It was amazing!!! The guests didn’t have to scramble to get from spot to spot and the bridal party had one central location to get ready and celebrate the entire day….I call this sheer genius and perfection!

What an honor it was to capture the intimate moments from Marte and Bryans wedding day. I wish you nothing but the best and all the love in the world, as you both deserve. As cliche as it sounds, you two are indeed perfect for one another.
